Get outdoors with your daughter and have some fun together! This program includes an archery lesson for both dads and daughters with all the equipment provided. No experience needed. After archery, paddle around the waters of Lake Minnewashta in kayaks! In the case of strong winds, kayaking will be replaced with a geocaching treasure hunt. Does your daughter want to be an archer as famous as Katniss Everdeen, skillful as Artemis or just want to put Robin Hood in his place? Then this camp is her place to train and make new archery friends! Through fun games and experiential learning, participants will learn range safety and proper techniques for stance, aim, and release to improve their shot. Campers will get the opportunity to shoot both compound and recurve bows at various target styles. All equipment is provided. This class is offered in partnership with Carver County Parks.

Horse Day Camps will include hands on learning on how to lead, ride, feed, and care for horses. Other activities will include learning breeds and colors of horses. We use creative ways to enjoy being with, on, and around horses! Come enjoy one or all three camps! Sign up with a friend or come meet new friends! If your child loves playing outdoors with other kids, then this camp is for them! Based out of Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, this camp is all about outdoor adventure and is stuffed with activities like archery, geocaching, outdoor cooking, paddling, swimming, beach play, group games and more! Additionally, the U of M Extension 4H will be providing STEM based activities each day. Packing and check-in details will be emailed out before camp. In the case of storms, unhealthy air quality, or extreme heat, the camp schedule may be altered.

Intended for those looking to experience fishing for the first time or kids that just want to do some fishing with friends! This program will introduce skills like drop casting, overhead casting practice, hooking bait, setting hooks and removing fish as well as ethical fishing practices.
