The Chaska Performance Dance Team offers dance education and training to high school dancers of Chaska High School. The club's mission is to stimulate individual passion, creativity and discipline to each dancer by offering a variety of classes and through performing at many community events. Highlights of our season include performing at: CHS varsity football half time, coronation, school pep fest, homecoming parade and our end of the year ice cream social. Please note that practice times will vary based on how groups are formed, the advertised times are the time frames practice will be from. Dancers will get a detailed schedule of their exact times once the season starts.

Due to facilities projects at Chaska High School, all in person Driver's Ed classes will be held at Chanhassen High School this summer. **Refunds are not guaranteed within 5 business days of the class starting unless the spot can be filled by another student. There is a $15 processing fee for any cancellations. Community Education, in collaboration with Safeway Driving School, offers students ages 14½ and older the opportunity to participate in classroom instruction to prepare them for the MN permit test. All instructors are licensed by the MN Department of Public Safety. Classroom instruction prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and begin the responsibility of driving. The 30 hours of classroom is structured into 10 independent lessons. Students must be on time for all classes. Riding the district activity bus may not ensure timely arrival so alternative arrangements should be made. If a student misses a lesson, they can sign up for a make-up lesson through their Safeway Account. Please contact Safeway Driving School directly to make-up missed classes. After class is completed, students that are 15 years old are eligible to take their permit test at any Minnesota exam center or online. All driving is done in a real car on actual city streets, highways and freeways with a responsible, licensed Safeway instructor. Safeway recommends students take their first lesson 6-8 weeks after receiving their permit. The lessons should be a minimum of 30 days apart to allow for practice driving. The lessons can be completed up to one year after completing classroom. Scheduling is offered online for 24/7 convenience. All of Safeway’s cars are white with identical graphics, so parents and students are confident that it is a Safeway car picking up the student for a lesson. New and returning members register here. $299 fee includes summer pre-season for new members. There may be additional costs associated with tournaments, accomodations, etc.**Teams are based on parent volunteer and space availability. Programs are held at Chanhassen High School and Chaska High School during the evenings/weekends. Once coaches are established, they will notify those registered of what the schedule will be. Most teams meet 2-3 times per week in the evenings/weekends. What is FIRST Tech Challenge?Teams of students collaborate to build and program a robot that competes on a 12' by 12' field. Each year the challenge is designed to encourage students to think critically and expand their knowledge of the engineering process. FIRST Tech Challenge in MN is part of an international robotics program that includes more than 3,000 teams globally. The registration fee includes 1 Regional Event.
