Based out of Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, this camp is all about outdoor adventure and is stuffed with activities like archery, geocaching, outdoor cooking, paddling, swimming, beach play, group games and more! Additionally, the U of M Extension 4H will be providing STEM based activities each day. Packing and check-in details will be emailed out before camp. Operated by the MN SW Metro Cycling Association, our non-profit is dedicated to building physical and mental strength in young people. We aim to inspire a generation of responsible, self-confident individuals who carry the lessons learned from cycling into all aspects of their lives.Program OverviewRiders of all levels, from beginners to advanced, will learn the skills needed to navigate single-track trails with confidence. Practices take place on gravel, paved, and narrow dirt surfaces. Incoming 6th graders are also eligible to join the Middle School Team at the end of August if they are interested in racing (additional fee required). Practices: July-August, Mondays & Thursdays 5:30-7PM and Saturday mornings, dependent on coach availability. Practice Locations: Near Chaska (McKnight Park, Carver Park, Hawks Ridge, Lions Park, and other local MTB trails). Registration & Fees Required Fees: $75 for the first child / $40 per sibling joining the team (Note sibling discount does NOT apply to siblings on the MS/HS team) Optional Fees: ~ $50 for a Shredder Jersey; order information will be sent separately. Status: Registration is open now through June 15. All registrants will be added to a wait-list, with priority given to riders in the Chaska/Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, and Waconia school districts The final roster size depends on coach availability—more coaches mean more kids on bikes! NFL Flag Football CampFootballDASH Sports officially licensed NFL flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Each player has the option to add an official NFL Flag Jersey to keep ($30 additional). Players that add the jersey will pick the jersey of their favorite NFL team at the time of registration.
