Ages 8-11 This tennis camp will be a fun environment to learn the game of tennis, improve skills, play games and matches, meet new friends and develop an interest in the wonderful life-long sport of tennis. This camp will focus on skill development for beginners, games to improve skills and create a basic understanding of the game of tennis. Join your Magnifying Abilities friends and be entertained at a FREE Water Ski show by the Shockwaves Water Ski Team. These amazing water skiers will perform pyramids, ballet, barefooting, jumping, wakeboarding and many other crowd-pleasing stunts! The show will be held in Quarry Lake Park in Shakopee. Bring a blanket or chair for seating. This event will be held weather-permitting. Participants should be accompanied throughout the entire show by a companion (no drop-offs). In addition to 3v3 and 5v5 games, the camp will also feature testing in dribbling, passing, shooting, and individual defensive drills, followed by small-sided games of 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 before 5v5 games daily. Players will be placed on equal teams based on their performance. The camp will emphasize shooting technique, footwork, and offensive moves, as well as individual defensive principles, including stance, on-ball defense, and help defense.

Skyhawks Cheerleading! This class teaches young athletes the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team! Each participant will learn cheers, proper hand/body movements and jumping techniques. There is no stunting, just a big focus on fun while each cheerleader learns important life skills such as teamwork and leadership. The program concludes with a final cheer performance that parents are welcome to watch!

Soccer Tots by Skyhawks uses age-appropriate games to engage kids in sports. The goal of this class is to develop kicking, running control, and dribbling. It also teaches listening and following instructions. The class uses a variety of fun games with lots of physical activity. These Tots classes are designed to introduce these kiddos to basic fundamentals. Parent participation is highly encouraged for these camps, in fact, we have several drills that we ask the Parents to 'partner' with the kiddos.

Skyhawks Track and Field provides the fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques. Track and Field events include javelin, discus, shotput, hurdles, and relay events. Participants also learn positive life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship.

Experience the thrill of team sports with Skyhawks Volleyball! Our dynamic program encapsulates all facets of the game-bumping, setting, spiking, hitting, and serving-through engaging drills and exercises. Tailored for beginners to intermediate players, we go beyond the court, emphasizing critical life skills such as leadership and teamwork.
