Code Championship Tournament Series | Virtual Computer Coding CompetitionMiddle School S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)Build a computer bot to play head-to-head against other coders! Whether this is your first Code Championship event, or if you’ve been competing for years, this is the perfect way to explore the competitive coding world of Code Championship. No previous coding experience necessary. The code Championship Series is a series of four tournaments in four weeks (it’s ok to miss one or two). These tournaments will be hosted online using Google Meet and the Code Championship Website. If you have a modern browser like Chrome or Firefox, no additional download is required. Learn the basics of coding by creating a Nintendo-themed game with Scratch! Students will use colorful, drag-and-drop blocks to bring their favorite characters to life. Scratch was developed by MIT and makes coding fun and visual. Nintendo is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. and not affiliated with this camp. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)Future City combine the engineer design process with project management to imagine, research and build cities of the future. Participants will work in teams to bring their vision of their future city to life. They will imagine what it's like to walk down the main street of a city 100 years in the future. From this starting point, they will design a futuristic city with innovative solutions to some of today's most pressing sustainability issues.
